It is time for race goers to bend the ear of the Evening Standard's new editor, Sarah Sands.

Send emails, pester. Even Eddie the Shoe tweeted his displeasure  on twitte ras Frankel didn't even merit a mention.

As for the BBC. A lost cause.

I agree. Even the BBC seems to have given up showing racing. And so many of my friends like to go to the races and bet.

The only topic worthy of comment, at least in the horsey world, is Frankel yet  The Evening Standard ignores not only Frankel but  all racing. Funny that! Consider how many commuters live to close proximity to a race course. Consider how Londoners are likely to place a bet. No shortage of bookies on any high street, so why the silence? Are the oligarths not into racing? Does Alexander Lebedev not have any interest in the sport of kings?

When in England, Alex, do as the English do. GO RACING
